Ayesha Ayaz, a 12-year-old athlete from Pakistan, amazed the world by winning three medals at the International Taekwondo Championship in Bangkok, Thailand.
Representing Swat, Ayesha showcased exceptional skills in the Under-12 category, securing one silver and two bronze medals in the 42kg class. The championship witnessed the participation of over 2,200 athletes from 40 countries. Earlier this year, Ayesha also won a gold medal at the Al-Fujria International event in Dubai, adding to her tally of seven international medals.
She was the sole representative from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to compete in Thailand. Additionally, a fourteen-member Pakistan taekwondo team was announced for the 19th Asian Games, with hopes of making a mark in the event.
