The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has implemented electronic visas for Umrah, aiming to simplify the process for a greater number of Muslims to visit Saudi Arabia and engage in the pilgrimage. This initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to enhance the quality of Umrah services and attract more individuals to the Kingdom.
To assist Muslims from across the globe, the Nusuk platform offers support for their arrival procedures, accommodation choices, and transportation services, and provides valuable information and interactive maps in multiple languages for their convenience.
Previously, the Ministry had announced that individuals holding tourist visas from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Schengen visas can now utilize the Nusk application to schedule Umrah appointments.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah streamlines procedures for individuals with various types of visas.
Under the new regulations, the Ministry has significantly reduced insurance fees for Umrah pilgrims by 63%, while ensuring the availability of healthcare services. They have also implemented expedited processing of Umrah visas, granting them within 24 hours, and extended the duration of the Umrah visa from 30 days to 90 days, eliminating the need for health requirements.
