UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi recently captured a breathtaking photograph of Dubai illuminated at night, as seen from space. The image showcases iconic landmarks such as The Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, and residential areas like Jumeirah Village Circle. Taking to Twitter, Dr. Al Neyadi expressed his awe at the radiant glow of Dubai compared to the stars in the sky. The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, also shared the photo, emphasizing the remarkable achievements of the country. He found the image to be both inspiring and symbolic of the UAE's extraordinary accomplishments on Earth and in space.
Dr. Al Neyadi is presently undertaking a historic six-month mission, marking him as the first Arab to conduct a spacewalk. Accompanied by his American colleague Stephen Bowen, they successfully completed a crucial maintenance task during a spacewalk lasting over six hours. Their duties involved preparing an exterior structure of the space station for the future installation of a solar array.
