Food Minister's Explanation

Sindh Food Minister Mukesh Chawla has said that we did not create a flour crisis. We were not opening the wheat district while the mills association was pressurizing.

Reason Behind the Crisis

Food Minister Mukesh Chawla has stated in his explanation about the flour crisis that they did not create it. They were not opening the wheat district, but there was pressure from the mills association at that time.

Action Taken

Mukesh Chawla said that the Flour Mills Association abolished the districtization of wheat and promised that flour would be cheaper. However, when the Sindh government ended the district ban, a crisis of flour was created.

The food minister mentioned that those responsible for the high price of flour in the market are going to end the district ban. Action will be taken against those who hoard wheat.
